One mother reported her daughter has had respiratory problems since the explosion, and she provided emails and letters documenting months of parental alarms despite school officials claiming otherwise. Roseland parents are pulling medical records and documenting symptoms while pushing to close or relocate schools, and church members are planning Capitol trips to push for federal disaster declarations and long-term health monitoring. These disasters overwhelmingly burden Black families, who are more likely to live nearby and face the greatest health, economic, and environmental harms.
GOVERNMENT WATCH — A federal judge ruled the Trump administration cannot cancel plans to move the FBI's new headquarters to Greenbelt, Maryland. District Court Judge Theodore Chuang said the move violated the Administrative Procedure Act and would cause 'irreparable injury' to Maryland and Prince George's County. The ruling vacated the decision by the FBI and General Services Administration and ordered them to reverse plans to reprogram $555 million of Greenbelt funding. The decision marks a significant victory for Maryland officials, who filed suit after the federal government announced in July 2025 it would abandon the Greenbelt plan.
